The Centro Sociale is an autonomous neighborhood community center that was established in 2008\u20132009 through the efforts of many local residents to create a counterpoint to the neighborhood\u2019s increasing gentrification. Everyone who uses the space to celebrate, discuss, do crafts, put on plays, or anything else\u2014they are the Centro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
