{"id":1179,"date":"2026-05-02T20:35:54","date_gmt":"2026-05-02T18:35:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tinkino.org\/en\/?p=1179"},"modified":"2026-05-02T20:37:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-02T18:37:12","slug":"hiqff-presents-major","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tinkino.org\/en\/hiqff-presents-major\/","title":{"rendered":"HIQFF presents MAJOR!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On May 16, 2026, at 8:30 p.m., we will be screening the documentary <a href=\"https:\/\/tinkino.org\/en\/programme\/major\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"951\">MAJOR!<\/a> \u2013 presented by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiqff.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hamburg International Queer Film Festival<\/a>, Germany\u2019s largest queer film festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-e4e55121-9f3a-42fa-a879-71a60b53a7fc\">MAJOR! explores the life and campaigns of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a formerly incarcerated Black transgender elder and activist who has been fighting for the rights of trans women of color for over 40 years.<br>Miss Major was a veteran of the Stonewall Rebellion and a survivor of Attica State Prison, a former sex worker, an elder, and a community leader and human rights activist.
