Penny Logue is a transgender alpaca breeder. A modern pioneer. An anarchist. She is the founder of the Tenacious Unicorn Ranch, located somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Colorado.
A story of perseverance from the US, in which Penny and her dedicated family of trans ranchers battle bad weather, impossible finances, right-wing militias, and their own internal struggles as they strive for true liberation.
The film also serves as a microcosm of the current bitter political and cultural polarisation in the United States.
It is not a feel-good film, but it is necessary.
